Old Business:
Mike Romig reported that the pit expansion project is nearly complete and will likely wrap up in next couple days.
Gerry VB reported on a letter from our insurance agent that parking is not allowed in front of the firing line during live fire. If anything were to happen, our insurance would be canceled and we would be unable to get insurance at all. Range rules have been updated to reflect this.
New Business:
On the topic of no parking in front of the shooting benches, Rod Bardo stated that we will need a way for our handicapped members to get up to the benches due to the steep incline. We need more parking, perhaps steps and/or a ramp, and a designated handicap parking area. Bill Romig, Mike Romig and Gerry VB will work together to decide how best to fix the parking so handicap members can park behind the benches and still easily get to the benches.
Mike Romig reported that the contractor working on the pit expansion quoted $1000 to dress the 100 and 200 yard berms. On a motion by Rod Bardo, seconded by Jim Cunningham, approval to spend the $1000 was given. All were in favor and the motion carried.
Mike Romig will ask the contractor for a quote to fix the skeet range berms also. The Board can approve expenditures up to $2500 per the by-laws.
Good and Welfare of the Club:
Thanks was extended to Mike Romig for help painting the shed.
Reminder that the range will be closed from Nov. 30 to Dec 14, with the exception of Sunday Dec.8, for deer rifle season. Members may hunt on club property during this time.
JoJo Stortzum volunteered to provide dinner (meatloaf) for the December meeting.
Adjournment:
There being no further business to discuss, on a motion by Bill Romig, seconded by Jim Cunningham, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
