Minutes for the Meeting held
June 16, 2022
Call to Order:
The June 16, 2022 meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen’s Club was called to order by President Denny Jaskiewicz at 7:05 p.m., followed by a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance. Twenty-one members and five guests were present.
Approval of Meeting Minutes:
Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the May 19, 2022 meeting. A motion was made by Bill Hunsinger and seconded by Dennis Snyder to approve the minutes as read. The motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report:
Treasurer Hunsinger reported deposits and expenses since the May 2022 meeting. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Jeff Thompson, seconded by Rich Pyott. The motion carried.
President’s Report:
President Jaskiewicz reported that service has been called for the electronic gate, but parts for repair are on back-order.
Committee Reports:
Steel Committee reported 10 shooters.
Steel Challenge reported 5 shooters.
Steel Plate Trials reported 6 shooters
Introduction of New Members:
The following new member applications were approved with no abstentions:
Brandon Metzger – A1136-00432
Drew Streit – A1137-00433
Renee Weller –A1138-00435
Old Business:
Vice President Moorhead requested clarification on charging members a re-instatement fee if they drop membership for a year or more. After much discussion, Rich Pyott made a motion that the Secretary draft an update to the Club by-laws to clarify the $110 initiation fee and to add a reinstatement fee of $50. Motion seconded by Bill Hunsinger. Motion carried with 3 members opposed.
New Business:
Jeff Thompson requested and received permission to bring “garage sale” type items to meetings for sale or swap before the meeting.
Good and Welfare of the Club:
Curt Moorhead reported on the passing of long-time member Rich Winand, recognizing his many contributions to the Club.
Linda Snyder volunteered to do the July meeting dinner.
Adjournment:
There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Bill Hunsinger, the meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
