Minutes for the Meeting held July 21, 2022

Call to Order:

The July 21, 2022 meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen’s Club was called to order by President Denny Jaskiewicz at 7:05 p.m., followed by a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance. Thirty two members and guests were present.

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the June 16, 2022 meeting. A motion was made by Neal Deluca and seconded by Bill Hunsinger to approve the minutes as read. The motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Hunsinger reported deposits and expenses since the June 2022 meeting. A question about the gas bill was raised; the bill was due to changing gas suppliers. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Rod Bardo, seconded by Dennis Snyder. The motion carried.

President’s Report:

President Jaskiewicz reported that parts for repair of the gate are still on back-order.

Committee Reports:

Cowboy committee reported 8 shooters.
Steel Committee reported 11 shooters.
Steel Challenge reported 12 shooters.
Steel Plate Trials reported 5/ 7 guns shooters, and return of $150 petty cash to the club.

Practical Pistol reported 10 shooters for June and 16 for July.

Old Business:

President Jaskeiwicz stated that the $50 reactivation fee discussed at last month’s meeting should be advertised but does not require a by-law change. It was requested that it take effect next membership cycle.

After discussion, Bill Hunsinger made a motion that the secretary add an addendum to the existing by- laws clarifying that the initiation fee of $110 defined in Article IV, Section 3, of the by-laws is a one time, per person, per lifetime fee. Motion seconded by Denny Jaskiewicz. Motion carried.

New Business:

Paul Shadowcat reported that he is donating an additional 200 linear feet of heavy conveyor belting to the club for use by the target committee.

Upon a request by Karen Hunsinger add wording from the Club’s articles of incorporation to the Club website, Secretary Lingousky agreed to do so.

Mel Bardo requested the Board look into the need to renegotiate the IBS fees and also their use of Club grounds, especially with respect to their camper dumping. President Jaskiewicz will discuss this with the IBS representative.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

Rich Pyott volunteered to do the August meeting dinner.

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Bill Hunsinger, the meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
