Minutes for the Membership Meeting held November

Nov 20, 2023

Call to Order:

The November 16, 2023 meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen’s Club began at 7:00 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Thirty members and guests were present.  

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the October 19. 2023 meeting.  A motion was made by Donna Romig and seconded by Gerry Von Blohn to approve the minutes as read. The motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Felegie presented the Treasurer’s report for November. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Mike Romig, seconded by Bill Keiser. The motion carried.

President’s Report:

President Jaskiewicz reported that Sight-In Sunday was a success with over 30 people attending. He announced the names of all the prize recipients.  He also announced that at the December membership meeting there will be a drawing for two gift certificates.

Old Business:  

Gerry Von Blohn reported that plans for the Club booth at the Early Bird Expo in January is making good progress.  He will be getting a banner made for the booth.  People wanting to volunteer to staff the table for any period should contact Gerry.

New Business:

In response to a member’s question, it was announced that the Board plans to meet in January to discuss a replacement for  Arnold Halye, who recently passed away.  President Jaskiewicz stated that anyone interested in being considered for a position on the Board of Directors should send in a letter of interest.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

It was reported that long time Club member Joseph Catone  (A200) recently passed away. 

Curt recognized Denny’s contributions to the Club including running the successful Sight In Sunday Event.

Gerry Von Blohn announced that he is looking for volunteers to help sell tickets to the Friends of the NRA dinner. Anyone interested should contact Gerry.

Jeff Thompson volunteered to bring pizza to the December meeting.  Joyce Lingousky threatened volunteered to bring fruitcake.

Adjournment:

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Ed Bergen, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
