October Minutes

Nov 30, 2024

Call to Order:

The October 17, 2024 meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Twenty members and guests were present.  

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the September 19, 2024 meeting.  With the correction that the CMP shoot had 8 shooters, not 7, a motion was made by Mike Romig and seconded by Rod Bardo to approve the minutes as corrected. The motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

In the absence of Treasurer Felegie, Secretary Lingousky read the treasurer’s report for October. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Donna Romig, seconded by Joe Polinchock. The motion carried.

President’s Report:

President Jaskiewicz reported that sight-in Sunday was poorly attended. Jim Cunningham, Jr. and Ted Klebon won free memberships for 2025.

Vice President’s Report:

VP Gerry Von Blohn reported that work day was well attended with 25 members coming to help.  The 100 and 200 yard ranges have new backers and the ladies’ room shower was fixed.

  • Other events were either canceled or not reported

Old Business:  

Mike Romig reported that the pit expansion project is now expected to start in October. 

Secretary Lingousky reported that the club received a $500 donation from the American Legion #273 to be used toward a new handicap accessible porta-potty.  Secretary Lingousky was requested to send letters to the Sons of the American Legion and possibly local VFWs requesting additional donations for this cause.  The new porta-potty should be planned for the spring since events are limited over the winter.

New Business:

The topic of parking in front of the shooting benches was discussed briefly and tabled for a Board meeting.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

Mel Bardo complimented the good job our cleaning lady does on the entire clubhouse and especially the bathrooms.

Jo Jo Stortzum volunteered to provide dinner (chili and chicken noodle soup) for the November meeting. 

Adjournment:

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion by Jim Cunningham, the meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
